Writing and Critiquing Workshops
Sure, you can make your own way alone through the writing world—but why would you want to?
"Without the discipline of Book Boot Camp, I'd still only have 20 pages and a dream. If you want your ideas and plot to solidify into a real book, you have to get to this camp!"
—Doug Borsch (worked on his memoir at 2005 summer BBC)
At Fat Plum we know how helpful it can be to receive helpful critiques from experienced, knowledgeable peers. And we know how energizing it is to connect with other writers, sharing ideas and getting feedback. So we offer two workshops that bring writers together and help you reach your goals.
Unfortunately, we haven't yet scheduled any workshops for 2008. If you're interested in hearing when we do, please contact us.
Xtreme Critique Weekend is an intensive writing retreat, offered from Friday afternoon to Sunday. Over the weekend you receive constructive, clear critiques of up to five chapters, essays, or stories, and you connect with other writers. Find out more.
Book Boot Camp is a focused, small group writing workshop, offered in six-week and four-week sessions. In the course of a session you can for example kick off a new writing project, make concrete writing progress, or prepare your manuscript to submit for publication. Find out more.
Xtreme Critique Day is a one-day intensive writing event, offered all day on a Saturday. Over two 3-hour sessions you receive constructive, clear critiques of up to two chapters, essays, or stories, and you connect with other writers. Find out more.
